Welcome to the first ‘proper’ gravel event of the 2018 WRC season. We have left the cold and snow of Monte-Carlo and Sweden behind us, as we begin our fifth participation in Rally Guanajuato México. The breathtaking backdrop of the Mexican mountains offers an unforgiving test with high temperatures and thinner air at altitude challenging both crews and cars. First appearing on the WRC calendar in 2004, Rally Mexico itself has been held since 1979, moving to León in 1998. The ceremonial start and opening stage takes place through the picturesque streets and former mining tunnels of Guanajuato. Among the other highlights are the El Chocolate stage with its unique combination of twists and turns, and the famous El Brinco jump, which always offers a thrilling spectacle.
