Round 3

Rally México

12 - 15 March

Service Park

The WRC season heats up in Mexico as the wintry conditions of Monte-Carlo and Sweden make way for springtime sunshine. The first ‘proper’ gravel event of the season offers a demanding test with high temperatures and breathtaking mountainous stages. Reaching altitudes in excess of 2.700m, the thinner air high up in the Sierra de Lobos and Sierra de Guanajuato mountains puts cars, engines and crews under added pressure.

Rally México has been held since 1979, moving to León in 1998 and first featuring on the WRC calendar in 2004. The picturesque and punishing event includes stages run through the former mining tunnels of Guanajuato, the epic El Chocolate stage and the famous El Brinco jump, which never fails to thrill the spectators.

2019 Summary
Important points were added to our championship total in México with Thierry in fourth, Dani in ninth and Andreas in 11th. We fought for the rally lead early in the weekend and scored multiple stage wins.
