Surface

Tarmac

Return of tarmac! Our run of gravel events comes to an abrupt end with one of the most technically demanding tarmac rounds of the season. With different surface characteristics on each day, Rallye Deutschland is often described as three rallies rolled into one. From tight and twisty vineyard roads in the Mosel, the rally moves onto unforgiving military routes in the historic Baumholder region before concluding with open country stages.

Germany was included in the European Championship from 1982 and only became a WRC round in 2002. A home event for our Alzenau-based team, Rallye Deutschland will always hold a special place in our history as the scene of our first-ever WRC win, a 1-2 result in 2014.
