Turkey makes its return to the WRC calendar in 2018, based in the town of Marmaris. The first international rally in the country was held back in 1972, starting and finishing in Istanbul, but it was only in 1999 that the idea of a WRC round was conceived. It was initially treated as a reserve event from 2000 but saw its status elevated in 2003 to be a fixture on the championship schedule. Aside from 2007, the rally was held each year until 2010.
Moving to the Mediterranean coastline, in the southwest region of the country, the gravel event will offer teams and crews a brand new challenge for 2018.Rally Turkey Website
