Always a highlight of the WRC calendar, Rally Italia Sardegna combines fast narrow roads with spectacular dusty jumps. One of the shortest competitive distances of the season, the rally is no less of a challenge. Fans witness an exhilarating ride against a backdrop of coastal scenery and in the searing Sardinian summer sunshine. The Alghero based service park gives the event a holiday feel but there’s no relaxing for the crews. Competitive rallying in Italy has blossomed since its first event in 1928, the mixed surface ‘Rally of the Flowers’ at Sanremo. The Mediterranean country has played host to a WRC round since the debut championship season in 1973, moving the round to Sardinia in 2004.

2023 Summary
Sardinia has always been a good event for us! Our team celebrated a first victory of the season with Thierry and Martijn triumphing in their i20 N Rally1 Hybrid. Esapekka and Janne continued their streak of podium finishes, taking second place.
