Andrew Wheatley joined Hyundai Motorsport in 2025 as WRC Sporting Director to boost the team’s efforts in the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC).
With over 30 years in international motorsport and nearly three decades in WRC, he brings a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of the sport.
Before joining Hyundai, he worked at the FIA as WRC Category Manager and later Road Sport Director, overseeing the WRC, World RX, W2RC, and several regional championships.
Earlier in his career, he spent almost 20 years at M-Sport, managing projects for Ford, Bentley, and Jaguar. Wheatley’s arrival strengthens Hyundai Motorsport’s leadership team and will play a key role in driving daily performance and shaping the team’s long-term rally strategy.
