Cyril Abiteboul

Cyril Abiteboul joined Hyundai Motorsport in 2023 in the role of Team Principal of the Hyundai Shell Mobis WRT. One year later he was elevated to the role of Hyundai Motorsport President, reflecting the company’s confidence in his leadership and vision.

Under his stewardship, Hyundai Motorsport not only delivered its first WRC Drivers’ title with Thierry Neuville, but also announced an expansion into endurance racing, with Genesis Magma Racing set to begin its first FIA World Endurance Championship season in 2026. 

During his extensive experience in motorsport, Cyril took up influential roles at Renault and Caterham. He became Team Principal of Caterham F1 in 2012, followed by a return to Renault in 2014 as Managing Director of Renault Sport F1, where he oversaw the team’s operations until 2020.
