4 Hours of Portimão

Though a relatively new venue – completed in 2008 – the Algarve International Circuit has gained a reputation of being a favourite for fans and drivers alike.

 Key to the circuit’s appeal is its elevation changes. Several corners – most notably Turn 1 and the Turn 5 hairpin – feature tricky downhill braking zones, creating overtaking opportunities, but also challenging cars and drivers. The long, sweeping, downhill final corner also tests the grip of the car and the bravery of the driver and is critical for a good lap and for – potentially – setting up an overtake down the long main straight and to start a new lap.
