Rally Italia Sardegna
05 June 2025
Olbia
The Italian island of Sardinia will once again welcome the WRC under the scorching June sun.
Competitive rallying in Italy has blossomed since its first event in 1928, the mixed surface ‘Rally of the Flowers’ at Sanremo. The Mediterranean country has played host to a WRC round since the debut championship season in 1973, moving to Sardinia in 2004. Despite the glorious backdrop, the cutthroat event presents some of the most ruthless stages the WRC has to offer. Similarly to Rally de Portugal, there is no room for error for crews on the ominous rough gravel that paves the way ahead.
2024 Summary
Rally Italia Sardegna marked the second of two back-to-back double podiums for Hyundai Motorsport, and was home to Ott’s first victory of the season.
