Rallye Monte-Carlo
23 January 2025
Gap / Monaco
The jewel in the WRC crown is undeniably Rallye Monte-Carlo. Opening the season, the Principality is home to royalty, riches, and most importantly – rallying history.
Acting as the season opener for almost every year since the championship’s inception, Monaco marked Thierry Neuville and Martijn Wydaeghe’s first win of the 2024 season, and went on to set the tone for how they would continue. With stages mapped across the winding roads of the French Riviera and beyond, the chilly winter temperatures pose danger to the cars taking to the tarmac – icy surfaces add an additional challenge to an already testing weekend.
2024 Summary
Last year’s Rallye Monte-Carlo was successful for Hyundai Motorsport – albeit challenging. Our drivers’ and co-drivers' champions Thierry and Martijn claimed an impressive victory at the first of 13 rounds under immense pressure.
