Rally Japan

28 May 2026

Toyota City

Rally Japan moves to mid-season in 2025 after three years as one of the final events of the season.

The third – and final – tarmac event of the season is based in the mountains of Aichi and Gifu. While the tight and winding roads are now very familiar to crews, the conditions will be a venture into the unknown. However, it promises to be just as demanding, with no margin for error. With tree-lined roads and anti-cut devices, the smallest of mistakes can result in an impact, and the consequences can be severe.

2025 summary

Japan showed signs of encouragement for our team, as the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 demonstrated its competitiveness on tarmac. Sadly, both Thierry and Adrien retired, but Ott finished in fourth.
