Jamie Chadwick has gained a reputation as one of the fiercest female competitors in highly competitive racing series around the world.

After initially following her older brother into racing, she forged her own path – initially in GT racing, where she claimed a class win the Nürburgring 24 Hours, before switching to single-seaters. She won the all-female W Series three times before moving to the US-based Indy NXT series, where she scored victory at the famed Road America circuit.

Joining the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Programme for 2025 gave her a first experience of Prototype racing. In an incredible debut season – both for the drivers and the Genesis Magma Racing name on track – she and her team-mates scored three wins and third overall in the championship standings in the LMP2 class.

For 2026, Jamie’s career takes another step forward as Genesis Magma Racing’s official reserve driver in the WEC, while she continues to gain further experience as part of out successful Trajectory Programme.

Q&A with Jamie

What is your favourite circuit and why?

It’s funny, your favourite circuit is always one you’ve had success at. You never seem to enjoy a track that you’ve not gone well at. For me my favourite circuit is Road America. It’s got a really nice flow of different corners and it’s obviously a track I enjoy, especially because I’ve had success there, but the flow of the track is one of my favourites.

What do you do to focus before a race?

I feel that with experience, I get more used to it. I just try to prepare as best as possible. The better prepared I am, the more relaxed I am. The more relaxed I am, the better I drive. I try to prepare as much before so that when it gets to just before the stint, I feel ready and unfazed by the task.

In 2025, you became one of the first drivers joining the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Programme. What was the most valuable lesson you learnt?

So much, I think it's hard to pinpoint one thing. I think mainly adapting to this style of racing, obviously endurance racing, but almost like a Sprint. The level is incredibly high. So, adapting to this style of racing and this car has been very valuable.
Besides focusing as much as possible, I try to make sure I am well and hydrated. Le Mans is a bit different due to the night stints: waking up and making sure I was on all four cylinders when I woke up.

Which profession would you have chosen if you hadn’t become a racing driver?

I always say I'd like to be in another sport. I don’t know whether I would have been good enough to be an athlete in another sport, but definitely something in this field. I love playing different sports and I also like watching them all.

Who is your motorsport idol?

I always say Lewis Hamilton because of what he does on track and off track too. Growing up, he was always the one winning. So, he’s an inspiration.

What’s your secret to success?

The secret to success is to prepare well. Be resilient, be disciplined and work hard.
