Hyundai Motorsport announces multi-year technical partnership with Sparco
Hyundai Motorsport has agreed a new multi-year partnership with Sparco, which will supply racewear and technical clothing across its rally and circuit-racing programmes from 2026.
The agreement spans Hyundai Shell Mobis World Rally Team in the FIA World Rally Championship and Genesis Magma Racing as it prepares for its first season in the FIA World Endurance Championship in 2026.
Sparco is a long-established motorsport supplier with experience across major international categories. Its activities include the development of racewear, composite components and technical clothing for professional environments, supporting more than 300 teams worldwide. This rich motorsport heritage and passion for all forms of the sport align closely with the culture within Hyundai Motorsport and Genesis Magma Racing, paving the way for a multi-year, multi-programme agreement focused on innovation and the pursuit of high performance.
The partnership covers race suits, gloves, footwear and technical underwear for all factory drivers and co-drivers, who have all been able to select their preferred products from Sparco’s extensive range, enabling them to be as comfortable as possible – and perform at their very best. The company will also provide specialist overalls for mechanics and operational crew that have been customised to fit the unique demands of the FIA WRC and the FIA WEC, as well as the team identities of Hyundai Motorsport and Genesis Magma Racing.
With Sparco supplying equipment for two programmes with distinct performance requirements, the agreement also supports joint technical development across rallying, touring cars and endurance racing.
Hyundai Motorsport President and Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul said:
“We are very glad to be partnering with Sparco for Hyundai Motorsport and Genesis Magma Racing programs. The FIA World Rally Championship and FIA World Endurance Championship are both incredibly competitive series in some of the most demanding environments for drivers and teams. There are tough stages in all conditions, long races, and times when the drivers must become mechanics in difficult situations. The equipment which Sparco produce will give our drivers and teams the combination of durability, comfort and quality they need to do their jobs perfectly to benefit all our programmes – at the track or service park, and back at the workshop.”
Sparco Chairman and CEO Aldino Bellazzini said:
“Becoming the technical partner of Hyundai Motorsport and Genesis Magma Racing further strengthens our commitment to pushing the limits of performance and innovation in motorsport on a global scale. This close collaboration in some of the most demanding racing categories provides us with ideal platforms for ongoing research and development aimed at improving our advanced solutions for drivers. We look forward to this new chapter, bringing our experience and know-how to drivers through our technical equipment, designed for the highest level of safety, comfort and performance.”
