Genesis Magma Racing’s highly successful Trajectory Programme will continue this year with a new focus on supporting young, talented drivers.

Jamie Chadwick, Valerio Rinicella and Laurents Hörr will share an LMP2-class ORECA 07 in the European Le Mans Series (ELMS) prepared by the IDEC Sport team.

New season brings together winning elements from 2025

In the first racing action for the Genesis Magma Racing name in 2025, the Trajectory Programme drivers were one of the stories of the ELMS season. Mathys Jaubert, Dani Juncadella and Jamie Chadwick won three of the six rounds during their first season of Prototype racing, finishing third in the final championship standings.

Unsurprisingly, given the incredible record, for 2026 the formula for the Trajectory Programme in the ELMS remains the same. Genesis Magma Racing will again partner with the successful IDEC Sport squad, whose workshop is close to Genesis Magma Racing’s own Le Castellet base.

Having played a vital role in the victories in 2025, Chadwick returns to the LMP2 class as the lead driver in the 2026 #18 entry. Combining racing in the six-round ELMS season with her duties as Official Reserve Driver for Genesis Magma Racing’s FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) team, 2026 will be a busy year for the British driver. The support of the Trajectory Programme will aid Chadwick as she aims to claim a place in the driving line-up for the GMR-001 Hypercar.

Chadwick said: "I'm excited to be returning to ELMS with IDEC Sport as part of the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Programme. Alongside our amazing results last year, we learnt and developed as the season went on, which gives me confidence that I can come back this year as a more well-rounded driver and set some more ambitious targets.”

She continued: “Returning with two strong teammates in Valerio, who is young but very fast and a proven race winner in the Asian Le Mans Series, as well as Laurents Hörr, with the experience he has is fantastic. I think we can be positive about our chances to be as competitive as possible. This programme, alongside the Hypercar reserve and test role, will be great as I can take learnings from that experience into the LMP2 programme.”

New names add further ambition to Trajectory Programme

Chadwick will be joined by two drivers on their first steps within the Trajectory Programme. Valerio Rinicella was part of the line-up that won the LMP2 class title in the 2024 Asian Le Mans Series, taking victory in half of the six races that season. The Italian also enjoyed a strong 2025 season, winning races in Eurocup-3 competition and making a first start at Le Mans in the Le Mans Cup’s LMP3 class.

“Being part of the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Programme is an incredible feeling” said Rinicella. “I’m very happy to begin my journey with them — it’s a great opportunity to learn, grow and develop in the right environment. It will be a long and demanding season, and I’ll push at every moment to fight for the best possible results. Looking ahead, my goal is to continue progressing step by step, with the ambition of one day competing in the Genesis Magma Racing Hypercar programme.”

The Trajectory driver line-up in the series for 2026 is completed by German Laurents Hörr. He is a multiple champion in LMP3, winning in both Le Mans Cup and ELMS competition, and also brings LMP2 experience to the team, with four years’ experience in the ORECA 07, including a 2023 ELMS campaign with IDEC Sport where he scored a pair of podiums. Hörr also has two podiums in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, finishing third in the LMP2 Pro-Am class in 2022 and 2024.

“It’s great to be back with IDEC Sport, but to be part of the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Programme is amazing,” Hörr said. “It’s a massive step forward in my career. I’m really honoured to join the programme and couldn’t be looking forward more to racing this year together with the team, Valerio and Jamie. I know Valerio a little bit already and I’ve obviously seen Jamie around in the paddock. It will be a really good combination between youth and experience with the three of us. The aim is to achieve the best possible results for Genesis Magma Racing and IDEC Sport and to keep learning with every race from the team. I think it will be a strong season in the European Le Mans Series and the goal is clear for all of us.”

Trajectory focus tightens to support talented drivers

2026 is a key year for the Trajectory Programme. After a first year with the dual targets of preparing Genesis Magma Racing team members of WEC competition and supporting drivers similarly taking their first steps in Prototype racing. The programme proved hugely successful in these aims with key team personnel set to join drivers Mathys Jaubert and Dani Juncadella in the WEC paddock this season.

With Genesis Magma Racing now part of the global series, the focus of the Trajectory Programme will be exclusively on nurturing young drivers building a career in professional motorsport. This project starts in the familiar surroundings of the ELMS, with clear opportunity for drivers to, eventually, become part of the Genesis Magma Racing team.

Genesis Magma Racing Sporting Director Gabriele Tarquini said: “The first year of the Genesis Magma Racing Trajectory Programme was incredibly successful, both for results on track in the European Le Mans Series and in preparing Genesis Magma Racing for the FIA World Endurance Championship. However, for 2026 we need to change the focus of the programme; to concentrate on supporting talented drivers, with the target that they should, one day, be able to step up to the WEC.”

He added: “We saw what Jamie was capable of last year, and Valerio and Laurents have also shown great pace and potential in multiple categories, including at different levels and series in Prototype competition. Together with the experienced team at IDEC Sport, I am sure they have a strong season ahead of them where they can continue to make progress in their careers.”
