Genesis Magma Racing has partnered with iconic brand Kappa for the 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season as the team’s Official Apparel Partner to provide the squad’s official clothing.

Clothing design shows Korean Identity

Genesis Magma Racing’s team members will be instantly recognisable in the paddock, starting with the season-opening 6 Hours of Imola. The official clothing features a signature combination of black and Magma orange and includes the now-familiar geometric team logo, with the traditional Korean Hangeul writing that inspires it incorporated as a subtle, tone-on-tone repeating design that remains true to Genesis Magma Racing’s ‘distinctly Korean’ philosophy.

The combination of colours holds strong meaning – black representing the humble attitude and the brighter shade symbolising of the self-confidence and passion of Korean culture – as the team prepares to be the first manufacturer in the championship from the country.

“The Korean roots of Genesis Magma Racing are very important to us as a team,” said Hyundai Motor Group President & Chief Creative Officer Luc Donckerwolke. “Genesis is the first Korean manufacturer to compete in the WEC, and we want to be seen as ambassadors for motorsport in Korea. To accomplish this we have to properly represent the country and the culture wherever we can. By including Hangeul as a key part of our identity – on our clothing, on the GMR-001 Hypercar, and in our spaces, we reinforce Korea as a key part of the team’s identity on the world stage.”

Kappa will provide a full range of teamwear, including options suiting the diverse roles within the team, from mechanics and technical staff to key management and behind-the-scenes support staff. The choice of clothing also accounts for the many different conditions the team can expect to face through the season, ensuring that each member of the team remains comfortable, able to complete their jobs to their full potential, no matter the environment.

New partners combine performance, style and unity

The unique design of the team’s clothing is supported by the quality guaranteed by working with Kappa.  The brand, founded in 1978, combines performance and style, innovation and bold design, a philosophy it shares with Genesis.

Through its history, Kappa have expanded from sportswear into streetwear and urban fashion. From this foundation, it has made its mark in a range of arenas, from high fashion through partnership with design houses to sports, with collaborations with leading teams, and lifestyle, where the Kappa brand can be found at music festivals.

Julien Ropus, Country Manager for Kappa said: “We are particularly pleased, at Kappa, to partner with Genesis Magma Racing for their first season in the FIA World Endurance Championship. This partnership fully embodies our vision: supporting teams competing at the highest level by providing solutions that combine performance, technical expertise, and a strong identity. Kappa has long maintained a close connection with motorsport, a history that notably dates back to our presence in Formula 1, and which continues actively today in MotoGP alongside leading teams such as VR46, Pramac, and Trackhouse.”

He added: “We are also present at the most prestigious endurance events, notably as the official outfitter of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as alongside a French team competing in the WEC, illustrating our ability to support paddock stakeholders in highly demanding environments. Through Genesis Magma Racing, we continue this momentum by leveraging our expertise in service of an ambitious organization, with a constant commitment to supporting teams in their day-to-day demands and performance objectives.”

As well as its commitment to performance and design, Kappa also stands for equality and unity, symbolized by its distinctive logo depicting a man and a woman sitting back-to-back. This image of mutual support takes on a special meaning in endurance racing, where co-operation and communication are vital to success, and for Genesis Magma Racing, with several women taking on key sporting and technical roles within the team, including Team Manager Anouck Abadie and Jamie Chadwick, who serves as the team’s Official Reserve Driver for the 2026 WEC season.

“I believe that our partnering with Kappa as our Official Apparel Partner for our debut season is the start of a long and successful relationship,” said Genesis Magma Racing Team Principal Cyril Abiteboul. “Kappa is a highly respected brand with experience working with some of the biggest teams in motorsport and beyond. The opportunities for collaboration, extending awareness of Genesis Magma Racing beyond a core of motorsport fans, are very exciting starting with the range of branded merchandise available to our fans this year.”

Genesis Magma Racing’s fans will be able to take advantage of this same pursuit of quality, with the range of team-branded clothing available from the Genesis Magma Racing eShop to show their support of the team, wherever they are. The team’s official eShop also hosts a full range including scale models, accessories, and Genesis Magma Racing branded items from the squad’s other Official Partners and licensees.
