Rallye Monte-Carlo

Returning again for the third time in the WRC’s hybrid era, Rallye Monte-Carlo has been the jewel in the world rally crown since 1911, making it the oldest event on the calendar. Originally run to promote Monte-Carlo as a tourist destination, competitors used to start from all over Europe and gather in Monaco. Befitting one of the most prestigious events on the WRC calendar, Rallye Monte-Carlo is also one of the most complex. Unpredictable weather conditions on the mountain stages means crews have to expect the unexpected. Snow, ice and dry tarmac can all feature, often in the same stage. At ‘Monte’, experience, strategy and an accurate weather forecast can play a key role in successfully navigating the Alpine roads.

2023 Summary
The first rally of the 2023 season saw Thierry and Martijn secure third place, their second podium together in Monte-Carlo. It also marked the debut of EP and Janne in our i20 N Rally1 Hybrid.
