About Nicky
A versatile driver with proven experience of turning his hand to a variety of motorsport series, Nicky first joined the Hyundai family back in 2019. He began his racing career in single seater racing, and in 2006 was crowned champion in both the Dutch and Benelux Formula Ford series, with a title in the European Megane Trophy following in 2010. In GT racing, the Dutchman has claimed victories in the Blancpain Endurance and Sprint Series as well as winning impressively at the 24 Hours of Daytona, 12 Hours of Sebring and the Spa 24 Hours. Podiums at the iconic 24 hour races of Le Mans and Nürburgring add to his diverse record. Nicky is also no stranger to top-flight touring car competition either, having taken three race wins and nine podiums across five seasons in WTCC and WTCR. He will embark on a new challenge with us in 2022, competing at the final four rounds of the FIA ETCR – eTouring Car World Cup with our Veloster N ETCR.
