About Reeta
Reeta Hämäläinen is one of the only female co-drivers in the WRC at present. Hailing from Finland, this former competitive dressage rider began her rally career in 2009 with her father, Teuvo Hämäläinen. At the beginning, she competed in rallies and rally sprint events across her home country – and briefly tested out the driving seat herself. Having decided she was better suited as a co-driver, Reeta built up an enviable rallying CV.
2021 saw her team up with driver Emil Lindholm for the first time, and they went on to claim two WRC3 wins that season. 2022 saw them graduate up to WRC2, and a spectacular season ended with them winning the championship. In July 2023, she made her debut in our i20 N Rally2 alongside Emil Lindholm at Rally Estonia.
