Safari Rally Kenya

20 March 2025

Naivasha

Once a year, the Kenyan plains are home to not only Safari animals, but rally cars too.

Notoriously considered one of the most challenging rally events of all time, Safari Rally Kenya exposes cars and crews to the elements perhaps more than any other round. The demanding landscape is covered in deep ruts and littered with fesh-fesh – a fine sand that can easily end a crew’s weekend early. Pair this with the ever-present risk of animals on stages, and competitors have a lot more to think about than just pacenotes.

2024 Summary

Safari Rally Kenya was a tough weekend for all Hyundai crews, with Thierry and Martijn finishing the weekend highest in fifth.
