Austrian Rally Championship
After four rounds of his first full season with the i20 N Rally2, Simon Wagner holds a commanding lead in the Austrian Rally Championship. Wagner and co-driver Hanna Ostlender finished second in the traditional season-opening Jännerrallye before winning each of the next three rounds. Their excellent pace in the car has helped them win more than half of all the stages contested over the first four events, including a sublime performance on the ET König Rallye, where they were fastest on 12 of the 13 tests.
FIA CODASUR Rally Championship
In search of a third consecutive FIA CODASUR Rally Championship title, i20 N Rally2 crew Fabrizio Zaldivar and Marcelo Der Ohannesian lead the 2025 championship at the halfway point. Victory at Erechim Rally Brazil lifted the Hyundai Paraguay-backed crew to the top of the standings after starting the year with third-place finishes at both Zaldivar’s home event, Rally Trans Itapúa, and Rally Sudamericano Jesús María in Argentina.
French Tarmac Rally Championship
i20 N Rally2 driver Eric Camilli celebrated his first victory of the French Tarmac Rally Championship at Rallye Aveyron Rouergue – Occitanie. The 2C Competition driver emerged ahead after a tight battle for the lead on the second day of the contest. Strong pace, including six stage wins, helped Camilli and co-driver Thibault de la Haye recover from a puncture to take the win. CHL Sport Auto crew Hugo Margaillan and Mathieu Coppa finished third to score their second podium of the year. Hyundai Motorsport customer crews have won stages at all five events this season, with Camilli and Margaillan combining for the fastest time on 25 of the 63 stages contested.
Slovenian Rally Championship
Reigning champions Rok Turk and Blanka Kacin have got their 2025 season in the Slovenian Rally Championship off to an excellent start. The i20 N Rally2 crew are undefeated after the first three rounds of the campaign and have only missed out on stage victory four times. At Rally Železniki, Turk and Kacin were joined on the podium by fellow Hyundai Motorsport customer crew Ivan Hrženjak and Rok Gomizelj, who scored their best overall finish of the year so far in their first season in the Rally2 category.
Turkish Rally Championship
In defense of his 2024 title, Kerem Kazaz leaded the Turkish Rally Championship after three events. The teenage i20 N Rally2 began the season with a superb win on the Ege Rallisi, before a pair of punctures on Rally Bodrum limited to just a fourth place finish overall. Despite the setback, Kazaz did not lose the championship lead meaning a return to winning ways at the Yeşil Bursa Rallisi for he and French co-driver Corentin Silvestre extended their advantage in the standings.
FIA European Rally Championship
Kowax DST Racing teammates Dariusz Biedrzyński and Martin Vlček are first and second in the Master class of the FIA European Rally Championship. Both drivers have a second place in the class to their name – Biedrzyński at his home event, Rally Poland, and Czech driver Vlček at the Royal Rally of Scandinavia. Vlček and co-driver Jakub Kunst have also finished on the Master podium at the season-opening Rally Sierra Morena and Rally Hungary – showing their pace and the performance of the i20 N Rally2 on both tarmac and gravel.
Portuguese Rally Championship
Dani Sordo and Cándido Carrera scored the first win of the Portuguese Rally Championship season with Team Hyundai Portugal at Rali de Castelo Branco. The Spanish crew inherited the lead after their rivals were penalized on the final stage, adding the victory to three runner-up finishes earlier in the season – including their part in a remarkable double podium for the Hyundai Portugal-supported team alongside Gonçalo Henriques and Inês Veiga, who finished third at Rallye Casinos do Algarve on their debut with the i20 N Rally2.
Belgian Rally Championship
Hayden Paddon became the first-ever non-European driver to stand on the overall podium at the Ypres Rally, the most recent round of the Belgian Rally Championship. Driving an i20 N Rally2 prepared by the BMA Autosport squad, Paddon and co-driver – and compatriot – Jared Hudson finished just ten seconds behind the victors in the showpiece event of the championship. The Kiwi pair led for much of the opening day before slipping back to second. They remained in that position to score the first podium for Hyundai Motorsport customers in the championship this season.
Czech Rally Championship
Erik Cais needed only two rounds of his first season with the i20 N Rally2 in the Czech Rally Championship to score his first podium. He and co-driver Daniel Trunkát finished second at Rallye Český Krumlov and have come home fourth in the other two events of the series this year. They lie third in the championship standings, one place ahead of Simon Wagner and Hanna Ostlender, who began the season with an excellent win at Rallye Šumava Klatovy.
Spanish Superchampionship
Pepe López and David Vázquez have stood on the Spanish Superchampionship podium at all four rounds this season and currently sit second in the series points standings. The Hyundai Motor España-supported crew has finished third at each event, including last weekend’s Rally Rías Baixas. On Rally Ourense, the previous round, they were joined by the crew of Daniel Berdomás and Brais Mirón, who finished second in their first – and so far only – start in the championship, adding to a superb year in which they have also claimed podiums in the Spanish Tarmac and Galician Rally Championships.
