Genesis Magma Racing chooses Hexis as Technical Partner

Genesis Magma Racing will work with HEXIS for the production and application of self-adhesive films to create the team’s livery on the GMR-001 Hypercar for the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC) season. The French company will become a Technical Partner for the team.

A livery is a critical part of the identity of any race team, and even more so for a team introducing a new manufacturer to the world of motorsport, as is Genesis Magma Racing’s exciting role in 2026. 

To have maximum effect, especially in the face of the unique demands of endurance racing, the material applied to the car needs to be durable, while not compromising the aerodynamics and efficiency of the race car. To match this complex set of demands, HEXIS’ solutions are developed to perform under intense mechanical stress, high-speed airflow, extreme temperature variations, and demanding race-weekend logistics.

Genesis Magma Racing Chief Engineer Justin Taylor said: “The FIA World Endurance Championship is very demanding on every detail of the car, inside and out. The film on the car needs to be extremely light, but very strong to resist the force of the air at high speed and impacts of stones and other small debris, so the GMR-001 Hypercar looks its best throughout each race weekend.”

Genesis Magma Racing’s partnership with HEXIS, gives the team the benefit of the company’s more than 35 years of experience, innovation and expertise in motorsport, honed through work with teams at every level of racing, from national series up to World Championships. That innovative expertise has come to the fore in HEXIS’ working with Genesis to develop a custom film that will be used on the GMR-001 Hypercar specifically for the team.

Shared DNA joins partners together to meet challenge

Entering the FIA WEC as a brand-new manufacturer in motorsport is an enormous challenge for Genesis Magma Racing, but one that the team is determined to work hard to overcome to earn the right to compete for podiums and victories. The same DNA runs through HEXIS, prompting the company to continually push itself through partnerships with leading motorsport teams.
