Slovenian duo aim to add to opening round victory
After starting earlier this month, the Slovenian Rally Championship continues at pace with Rally Velenje this weekend. Hyundai Slovenia-supported crew Rok Turk and Blanka Kacin got their national campaign off to a strong start with a victory in the opening round. However, the chasing pack was closer than ever behind the multiple national champions, promising a closely fought season to come.

For this weekend’s 11-stage contest, Turk and Kacin are one of two i20 N Rally2 crews competing, as Ivan Hrženjak and Rok Gomizelj continue their season with the car after finishing fifth among the national runners in the opening round of the championship.

British championship returns to tarmac with i20 N Rally2 crew eyeing podium
i20 N Rally2 crew James Williams and Ross Whittock are chasing their second podium of the British Rally Championship season at the Jim Clark Rally. The pair got their season off to a strong start with a third-place finish in the opening round but could not match that result when the series switched to gravel roads for round two.

The third round of the championship, however, brings the team back to tarmac stages for the event based in Duns, the childhood home of the Formula One champion the rally is named in honour of. Williams and Whittock will be aiming to repeat their earlier pace on the Scottish stages and return to the podium.

Aboard a second i20 N Rally2, Alan Carmichael makes his first start in the main ranks of the British Championship this year, alongside co-driver Michael Gilbey.

FIA CODASUR Rally Championship reaches halfway point in Brazil
Erechim Rally Brazil already marks the halfway point of the FIA CODASUR Rally Championship as the third round of the season. Paraguayan i20 N Rally2 driver Fabrizio Zaldivar sits second in the standings after third-place finishes in the first two rounds in Paraguay and Argentina.

However, the trip to Brazil brings Zaldivar and co-driver Marcelo Der Ohannesian back to the location of their third and final victory in the 2024 championship, which helped them secure that year’s title. Entering the 2025 event trailing by just a few points in the standings, a repeat victory would almost certainly lift the pair into the championship lead ahead of a four-month break in the South American series.

Defending champion leads series into latest Turkish national round
Leading the standings after the opening two rounds, Kerem Kazaz heads the Turkish Rally Championship field into the Yeşil Bursa Rallisi in his i20 N Rally2. The Turkish teenager — the defending series champion and winner of the opening round — is again joined by French co-driver Corentin Silvestre for the rally.

Nine tarmac stages, including two passes of a 26km test among the five stages on Saturday’s opening leg, await Kazaz and Silvestre at an event where they finished third overall in 2024.
