Defending champion start national season with victory

Defending Turkish Rally champion Kerem Kazaz started his 2025 season with an excellent win at the Ege Rallisi (March 14-16). Alongside French co-driver Corentin Silvestre, with whom he scored the crucial results to take the title with the i20 N Rally2 last season, the teenager scored victory by nearly 30 seconds.

However, they had to recover from losing time to an electrical problem on the opening stage. They responded from the setback, which left them temporarily in 18th overall, by winning four of the next six stages to reach the overnight halt at the end of Saturday holding a slender lead. They extended that advantage, winning all three stages on Sunday in a dominant showing to begin Kazaz’s title defence.

Camilli begins season with podium finish

2C Competition driver Eric Camilli and co-driver Thibault de la Haye began their second season with the i20 N Rally2 in the French Tarmac Rally Championship at Rallye Le Touquet – Pas-de-Calais (March 14-15). The pair won three stages on the tarmac event based on the French Channel coast, as they held third position throughout to make a positive start to the campaign.

Hugo Margaillan and Mathieu Coppa shared a second i20 N Rally2 on the stages – their example prepared by CHL Sport Auto. In their first start together, the crew were consistent across the weekend. They never set a time outside of the top ten to come home in sixth overall, matching Margaillan’s result from the rally last season.
