Championship challengers and series debutants drive in i30 N TCR at TCR UK opener

Five drivers are confirmed to start the TCR UK season driving i30 N TCR when the series’ new season kicks off at Donington Park this weekend, three of them set for their first TCR races in the car.

More experienced though are Callum Newsham and Alastair Camp. 2024 was a break-through year for Newsham, who took his JH Motorsport i30 N TCR to six victories – the most of anyone in the championship – and was in contention for the title until the final race of the season. The car, driver and team combination is unchanged for Newsham’s 2025 campaign, aiming to repeat the strong results, though with a happier end to the season.

Camp returns to the grid, having raced sporadically with the car for the last two seasons. For 2025, he joins up with experienced team Area Motorsport, committed to contesting a first full TCR UK season.

For drivers Harry Bloor, Finn Leslie and Rod McGovern the three races on Donington Park’s shorter National layout, will be their debut weekend in TCR UK. McGovern, who has a long list of successes from Touring Car racing in Ireland, joins JH Racing as the teammate to Newsham, while for youngsters Bloor and Leslie their seasons in Power Maxed Racing-run i30 N TCR will be some of the first steps in their car racing careers.
