International crop of Elantra N TCR customers head to Spa

The famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps welcomes the grid of TCR Europe for their second weekend of the season. Hyundai Elantra N TCR customers feature prominently among the 22-driver field for the weekend, with six Hyundai Motorsport customers representing three different countries.

The three car JSB Competition team arrive for what could be considered their home round of the series, the French squad without a round in their home country but travelling to the French-speaking Walloon region of Belgium. Their Team Owner, Julien Briché, scored the best finish of the Elantra N TCR drivers in Race 1 of the season opening weekend, before Irishman Max Hart – driving for Target Competition – led the group in Race 2 after starting from pole position on the partially reversed grid.

The weekend will also be the TCR race debuts at the circuit for Solite Indigo Racing’s Korean pairing of Junui Park and Junesung Park. The Ardennes circuit is a formidable challenge, with good top speed critical to a quick lap time, but with a more technical middle sector which rewards balance and handling where the Elantra N TCR’s strengths typically lie.

TCR UK runners target podiums at Silverstone

After a strong start to his first season of TCR racing, i30 N TCR driver Finn Leslie sits fourth in the championship standings ahead of the series’ visit to the Silverstone National circuit. Leslie has a best result of second place from the five races so far – coming at the third and final contest of the opening weekend – and has so far finished every race. That has helped him move above 2024 title contender and fellow i30 N TCR driver Callum Newsham, who actually led Leslie to the line a Hyundai 1-2 on the opening weekend.

Both drivers will aim to return to the podium on a circuit where Newsham scored a pair of second places last year, while Harry Bloor – Leslie’s Power Maxed Racing team-mate – aims to continue his strong start to his first season of car racing.
