Elantra N TCR customers reach Vallelunga after differing fortunes in season opener
The Elantra N TCR customers in TCR Italy will aim to deliver further on the pace they showed at the opening round as the championship travels to Vallelunga. Following his strong start to the season — including second place in Race 2 at Misano — Kombat Motorsport Elantra N TCR driver Michele Imberti arrives at Vallelunga as the best-placed Hyundai Motorsport customer in the standings. However, he is also the only Elantra N TCR driver carrying Compensation Weight for the weekend, with 30kg added to his car at a track where both heavy braking and high-speed stability are critical.
Meanwhile, despite showing excellent pace in qualifying to line up second and third, BRC Racing Team drivers Alex Ley and Gabriele Covini were unable to convert their performances into race results. With no additional weight in either car, the Vallelunga weekend offers them a chance to bounce back from early frustrations.
