Elantra N TCR drivers aim for more TCR Italy success at Monza
A visit to the famous Autodromo Nazionale Monza acts as the finale for the 2024 TCR Italy season. Though Hyundai Motorsport customers are not in contention for the title, it has still been a successful season for Elantra N TCR drivers in the series with Alex Ley, Junesung Park and Junui Park all scoring maiden wins in the championship. All three should be back on track for the two races around the Italian GP venue, which always creates exciting racing, thanks to the combination of long straights and heavy braking zones. Among those who should join them on track in their Elantra N TCR are Michele Imberti, completing his first season with the car, and Gabriele Covini, who has steadily improved throughout his season with BRC Racing Team in his first season of TCR competition.
Adam Kout hope to continue late season success at FIA Motorsport Games
TCR Eastern Europe runner-up Adam Kout will be the lone competitor in an Elantra N TCR in the Touring Car race of the FIA Motorsport Games. The biennial event pits racers representing their countries against each other with contests in a number of disciplines, including Formula 4, GT racing, Karting, Drifting, Esports and, of course, Touring Cars. The circuit racing events will take place at the Valencia circuit in Spain. Representing the Czech national team, Kout will be aiming to continue the late season form he showed with Janík Motorsport in TCR Eastern Europe, where he won four of the last six races. He missed out on that title by just a handful of points at a dramatic season finale, where he became the only driver to win both races in a weekend. Two more races wait for Kout and his rivals this weekend – a 25-minute Qualifying Race on Saturday, followed by a half hour Main Race to complete their programme on Sunday.
