Defending national champions complete Hyundai 1-2 in i20 R5

Hyundai Motorsport customers finished first and second on Rally Dolina zelenega zlata (August 23-24), the fourth round of the Slovenian Rally Championship season.

Hyundai Slovenia-supported i20 N Rally2 pairing Rok Turk and Blanka Kacin dominated the event – as they had done the opening three rounds of the season – to take a fourth win and further add to their already healthy advantage at the top of the points’ standings. However, they did blemish their perfect record for the first time this season as they failed to win SS3 – the second shortest stage of the rally after the opening Super Special.

Honours on that test instead went to defending champions Marko Grossi and Tara Berlot in their i20 R5 – three-tenths faster than their rivals over 5.57km run. Grossi and Berlot were second on every other one of the event’s nine stages to finish second overall, 40 seconds behind Turk and Kacin. The result was their first podium of the season and completed the 1-2 for Hyundai Motorsport-built cars.
