Slovenian i20 N Rally2 crew look to continue excellent national championship form

i20 N Rally2 crew Rok Turk and Blanka Kacin head to Rally Dolina zelenega zlata having been unstoppable in the first three rounds of the 2024 Slovenian Rally Championship season. The duo has won overall at each event, taking the fastest time among the national runners on every stage. This weekend’s challenge takes them to Žalec for a nine-stage contest, starting with a Super Special Stage in the town itself on Friday evening, before eight stages on Saturday. As well as Turk and Kacin, i20 R5 pairing Marko Grossi and Tara Berlot – runners-up last year in a 1-2 for Hyundai Motorsport customer crews – will also take on the tarmac event.

Korhola and Virtanen aim to add another podium in strong season

After impressing on his WRC2 debut at his home round of the championship, Benjamin Korhola returns to action in the Finnish Rally Championship with his Pacco Motorsport-run i20 N Rally2. The Future SM-Ralli is the sixth round of the season, and the third date on gravel stages. So far Korhola and co-driver Sebastian Virtanen have finished on the podium in more than half of the events his year, despite 2024 being their first full-year in the top class of the highly competitive national series. Last year – with a different co-driver – Korhola finished second in his class and 12th overall. A similar performance this year would likely see him move up the championship standings, as he enters the weekend in third, just a single point out of second place in the points.
