About Torstein

A fellow Norwegian, Torstein’s rally career began in national events in 2009 when his childhood friend Larsen needed someone to call the pacenotes. After making his rally debut, he went on to clinch five Norwegian championships. His world stage debut came only two years after his first ever event, entering WRC Rally Finland in 2011 in the 2WD category. The first taste of international glory came in 2018, as Torstein secured two WRC podiums in Finland and Australia. Then alongside Mads Østberg in 2020, he became a WRC2 champion for the first time, before going on to defend his title the following year. Uniting with Andreas at the start of 2022, the duo went on to clinch Torstein’s third WRC2 title in 2023, with victories at some of the season’s most challenging rallies, including the likes of Sardinia and Greece.
