Following updates to the calendar, Rounds 11 and 12 of the 2022 WTCR season will be taking place at the Autodromo Vallelunga Piero Taruffi. Located 32km north of the nation’s capital Rome, the circuit was initially built as a sand oval in 1959 and has been regularly developed ever since, resulting in its current tarmac configuration. The track presents a challenging test for the drivers. Consisting of 15 turns, the 4.085km circuit contains a variety of corner types, from the long and expansive Turn 2 to the technical section of Turns 11, 12 and 13. It also boasts a 575m back-straight and a number of overtaking opportunities.
